Instagram offer dekh ke treatment? Pehle yeh 5 sawaal. Aesthetic treatments are more visible than ever, and so are the tempting offers around them. But your face and skin are not a place to decide in a hurry. This guide is for anyone considering an aesthetic treatment in Ghatkopar, Mumbai or anywhere else. It gives you five simple questions to ask before you book, and a few signs that should make you pause.

An informed decision is an important decision. None of this is meant to put you off. Good clinics welcome questions, and the answers you get tell you a lot.

Question 1: Is this treatment right for me?

The right treatment depends on your skin, your health, your medicines and what you actually want to change. A good consultation starts with questions to you, not with a menu of procedures.

  • Expect to be asked about your medical history, allergies, current medicines and skin type.
  • Tell them if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or planning a pregnancy, and about any skin condition, scarring tendency or past reactions.
  • Be wary of a plan that is decided before anyone has looked at your skin or asked about your health.

Question 2: Who will perform it?

It matters who is actually carrying out the treatment, not just who owns the clinic or appears in the photos. Ask directly.

  • Is the person a registered medical practitioner, and what training do they have for this specific treatment?
  • Will the doctor you meet be the person who performs it, and is a doctor available on the premises?
  • Are the products and devices genuine and approved for use? You can ask to see the packaging or details.

Question 3: What should I expect?

Ask for a plain-language explanation of the whole process, including how many sessions may be needed, how long each takes, and what recovery looks like. Results vary from person to person. Be cautious about anyone who promises a guaranteed outcome, or "glow in one session".

  • How long before I can return to work, events or normal skincare?
  • What will my skin look and feel like in the first few days?
  • What is the realistic result for someone with my skin and my starting point?

Question 4: What are the potential risks?

Every treatment carries some risk, even the ones that sound simple. A trustworthy clinic will explain the risks openly, not brush them aside.

  • What are the common, temporary effects, and what are the less common but more serious ones?
  • Which of my conditions or medicines could increase the risk?
  • What is the plan if something doesn't go as expected?

Question 5: What aftercare is required?

What happens after the treatment matters as much as the treatment itself. You should leave knowing exactly what to do, and who to call.

  • Do I get clear aftercare instructions in writing?
  • What should I avoid, and for how long, such as sun, makeup, exercise or other skincare?
  • Is there a follow-up, and who do I contact if I'm worried, including after clinic hours?

Seek medical help immediately if, after any procedure, you have severe or worsening pain, rapidly spreading redness, swelling of the face or lips, difficulty breathing, fever, or any change that frightens you.

Signs you should pause before booking

  • Pressure to book today, or a countdown built around a discount.
  • Guaranteed results, or promises of dramatic change in one visit.
  • No proper consultation, or a consultation that only sells.
  • Vague or evasive answers about who performs the treatment and what is used.
  • No clear information on risks, aftercare or follow-up.

A discount is not unsafe in itself, but the price should never replace these five questions. If you would not be comfortable asking them, that tells you something.

Planning ahead for an event

If you have a festival, wedding or other event coming up, start early. New treatments can cause redness, swelling or peeling that takes days to settle, and how long varies from person to person. Time before the event lets you ask your questions calmly and leaves room to recover.

For Navratri, the Navratri Glow Plan at Furia Clinic is a physician-led skin assessment and a personalised pre-festival plan, timed to finish before Navratri begins on 11 October. Furia Clinic has cared for families in Ghatkopar East, Mumbai, since 1971. Book early: book a consultation or WhatsApp 081043 74386.
